I'm thinking of creating a fun submission for pico day, I'm thinking it's gonna be pretty small in scope, but super polished. My last pico day game was really really bad. It was soo bad that it didn't even make the pico day 2012 submissions list. This year, things are gonna change.
- The game wont be big in game play, but they play as interactive little drawings
- Unlike my last pico day game, This one will be released early, on pico day. The last game was made really late because I made the game in like, a hour. I didn't get to work on it much because I had a baseball game that day.
- This one has medals

Lately I've been working on Arcade Quest, something that really feels like vaporware at this point. Luckily, I 'm hard at work on making a new version.

The game we're(TheRadicalOne) making now is very different from what you're playing here. So far the idea is to make a great fighting system where new players can have fun but people who learn to exploit it will be much rewarded during gameplay.

Its gonna be a horror /humorus dungeon crawler. This will be my first game done in Flash Instead of using stencyl. Expect it next week.

Also, arcade quest is being redone in flash. It's gonna hit this year though!

Arcade Quest Isnt going to hit new years nor Christmas, but it might release next year. Its due to the fact that the game still hasn't implemented its new art style yet. The gameplay and almost every thing is there, but missing things are:
-The moves you can perform in game.
-The single player mode

and a few other things. The goal is that it'll still be a beat em up/fighting game.

also, just a question, would you be fine if it was a 2player only game? Im not talking about online multiplayer, just good ole 2player vs.

My game THAT I'M WORKING ON IS ALMOST COMPLETE. So, I think I'll announce it right now. It's called Arcade Quest. The game is about a dude who is trying to get back home from the store, but is blocked off, when his long lost brother (who is mute), Cyrus, ambushes him. He then learns that to get back home without hassle, he must help his other and older long lost brother, Embryo. I'm pretty happy to get the game completely finished, and I think I really challenged my self with programming. I think my only complaint so far is the way I handled my management time. I'll probably say my other complaints
later, maybe when after the game comes out maybe this week or next.

EDIT: the game is getting a huge touch up. AKA, it'll play better. Here's a very early version of arcade quest when I was starting work on it. (click on the AQ logo to start playing it.)

- Creating a health bar system (DONE!!!!!)
- there will now be two enemies per stage instead of one. (for reasons I'll explain in the future)
-I'm removing medals for the sake of simplicity.
This is actually because the medals before wouldn't make sense with the new version.
- I might add in a full fledged 2 player verses mode.

Regents

State issued test by the board of education. I finished my Algebra ( hope I at least get a 65) and I found that test tedious. You had to switch between a pen and a pencil. Pen for booklet, pencil for multiple choice sheet. You wouldn't believe the fact that I accidentally used a pen twice on the multiple choice sheet. They also used trick questions as well ( As in "what is the solution set?" which the answers were "lol none") That's just evil. I hope the Living enviorment one goes well, I just gotta study on cells and I'm all set.
