You wouldn't believe what the hell I've been working on for the past two days.

I've been redrawing one characters running animations, and damn, I'm finally done with it. Whew, that was a doozy.
So lately I've been thinking about the possibilities of doing online play in a flash game like this. I recently played a game called weedman , that has a online mode in which you could play with your friends. I thought of all the flash beat em up/ fighters out there that I think would be so damn fun if I had more then one friend playing with me. If I have to add a online mode though, I think it'd be very simple. No battle pints, no ranks, just a online mode simply made to get you and your friends playing together.

it'd be the bee's fucking knees if we got online in there. Oh my gosh, just IMAGINE playing with/against your friends in a flash game like this.

well, I'm done with the running animation now, I got a few stuff to finish up, like animating characters and contacting peeps.

So today I've been finishing up everyone else's basic actions. While doing that I'm working on Majormel and Lulz's super moves. It's very hard to think of how they will work. Everything matters in a action. Frames, its effects, and the use of its traits into a players strategy. I feel sorta strange with making the main character a rushdown, since fighting games usually have zoners/shoto characters (Ryu from Street Fighter and Yu Narukami from P4A, for example). I think a rushdown works pretty well as a main character for a fighting game, personally because if you're new to a beat em up or fighting game, the idea is to always be offensive and keep attacking.

Arcade Quest is a beat em up/ fighting game (Really focusing on the beat em up part but yeah there's a type of fighting game there) and a rushdown character works pretty well for both genres. I think that's sorta the goal here when incorporating a playstyle that'll work for both genres. Another goal is to really make it feel like a different game when playing other characters. For example, a character called Lulz S. fowr is a keep-away type of guy. In a beat em up however, it'd feel a lot like contra or a run and gun. The thought of that sounds very fun, and I think it can show how Arcade Quest can be morphed into a very different game, sorta like how in Super smash bros melee, you can race around big stages(there was no race mode in the game, but if you own the manual, they suggest that you can also race around the hyrule temple map, even though there is no way to end the race unless you add time limits or something.) I'd love to do that with Arcade Quest, make completely different game rules from the original games vision.

Well, I'll go back to drawing and designing the game right now. I just wanted to say something.

well, I'm going to camp tomorrow but before I go, I just wanted to post this.

my day was really terrible, I mean it started off fine but around 2:00 pm stuff went down. I kept losing to my older cousin in P4A (that was probably due to fighting game burn out) and I was just acting MAD SALTY YO. I was close to crying because that stupid ho Chie always gets raped by this nig's Yu.

After that my aunt made us dinner. it was spaghetti with chicken and spinach. I really hate spinach. Luckily my aunt wanted my cousin and I to go with her to the store, which luckily had me avoiding finishing off spinach (yuck). But I thought it'd get better, really thought it'd get better but nope it didnt.

- my cousins pit bull got ATTACKED by his father (we tried to leave the dog at another family members house so that we can be assured someones watching the dog while we're at camp)
-my aunt has been criticizing me for silly reasons (like not cleaning plates fast enough)

So as of right now, I've just been refining and smoothing out some of the other characters in my game. Couldnt get some animation done, but I find it calm when I just need to be calm. Everyones been fucking whining about DOMA. the Gays, the religious, the blah blah blah. If I hear DOMA one more time, I'm going to scream.

well, I just wanted to get some things outta my head. I barely update this stuff.

Well, im going to camp next week, gonna finish up some things.

The reaver- damn, I wish I understood the steam swords "jet mechanic" the first time I played this one. It's a simple idea, but if you're creative enough you can make some cool attacks by just only using your steam abilities. Sadly this game wasn't finished properly, since the authors coder had to move somewhere and the artist had to get the game done himself. If you like that 1930's art deco advertisement style then youll like this game.

Escape and Survive- this one is just a simple "helicopter" clone, but it has different selectable characters, which makes it nice. Also, the mspaint graphics are so nice, no black lines mang.

Hero Battle- This one is a exciting boss battle game, and the gun combat is friggin cool. The author made a sequel with more bosses and a platformer segment between each fight.

Adventura de Luis 2 - this game is very unappealing, but the amount of new weapons, fun level design (though some were lazy) and it's very ambitious.

Gurblechocky! - there isnt much to this game, but it has charm and the music is super funny(in my original review, I complained of the repetitive music), and sorta grew on me. Fun time waster.

Cave Puzzles- This ones a puzzle platformer, pretty fun all around but this is criminally low. The very simple story you're introduced to is something of a driving force for this game. A silly one, but I feel it's more believable and really shows how the main character loves his girl. The physics in this game is excellent, with it's dynamic rock shapes.

These flash games are super fun, I just think they deserved to be rated higher and should get a better look at.

Game was a personal experiment to fool around with hitboxes and in the early bit of the game, to fool around with flash.I started work on it in maybe, early January, and it was when I was very new to flash The animations are super rough, since in the first half , I wasnt very used to using my tablet and projecting my art style on there. later half is how i usually draw, except the backgrounds, they're crap lol.

Anyways, Time to get back to work on some things. oh yeah, Arcade Quest is coming next thursday

My grades are failing.
My friends criticize me about it.
My mother calls me a failure.

Something that used to be so easy in Grade school is now so hard to do in high school. I went to school almost everyday, and I was usually late, but that was when class started to begin.

Now it feels out of loop. Misplaced, mis-matched, uncategorized. I used to get average grades in grade school, and had no problems back then. Now I'm lazy, undisciplined, no good. I wish I was happy again.

but it's hard to be happy.
